Do you feel more stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed than you’d like to be?
Has a friend ever told you that you should meditate? You resist the idea, but then you Google “meditation” and find out that there are a lot of good reasons why you can’t wait another day to get onboard with this pawsitive practice.
Why Should I Meditate?
- Benefits focus
- Helps with clarity
- Decreases stress and anxiety
- Improves heart health
- Encourages creativity
- Increases mindfulness
- Makes you feel happier
- Great jumpstart to better health
You feel inspired, so you grab a pillow, put on some soothing music, and plop down to think about nothing. The seconds tick by and you find the longer you sit, the louder your thoughts become like someone is cranking up the volume on talk radio.
Finally, a cold nose touches your hand. You open your eyes to see your canine BFF staring at you with understanding eyes and a leash in his or her mouth.
What should you do? Follow your Dr. Dog’s lead, of course, and learn to walk and meditate at the same time!

Walking Your Dog + Walking Meditation = Saves You Time
For the dog lover, a walking meditation allows you to spend more quality time with your beloved friend, enjoying life together, saving time, and increasing your animal-human health connection. And for those of us who love our animal friends, is there anything better than that?
Let’s start a conversation. Leave me a comment below about how your walking meditation worked for you. Or share a story with me about how your animal friend has helped you live healthier, happier and more extraordinary. If you visit me at AnimalHumanHealth.com you can even take our free fun quiz- What Your Dog or Cat Knows About Your Health That You Don’t!
And if you know a stressed out, overworked, or overwhelmed animal lover who could use some help finding their way back to the land of now, forward this video to them. Their friends, their family, and their dog will thank you.
